The bit you should read.
This fishing blog details my angling adventures around the UK (although depending where I am in the country I also sea fish from both Boat and Shore, Carp, Pike and Fly fish). I will be giving a summary of 3 values considered by most anglers as well as the additional Disabled Access rating. Since being diagnosed with CIDP and regaining my motor function Disabled angling and Disabled access is now something I always consider when visiting venues. They will all be rated on a scale of 1* to 5*;
1. Fishability *****
2. Accessability *****
3. Value for Money *****
4. Disabled Access *****
I think these 4 points are the key issues which are readily identifiable with all anglers. Feel free to take a look and add your own comments along the way!
About Me
Ever since catching my first fish in Swansea marina I was, excuse the pun ‘hooked’. Since then I have fished for Sea, Coarse, Game and Predatory fish alike and intend on continuing to do so. Having a family who loved fishing meant that there was never an angling trip far off and any advice I needed was on my door step.
Although sea fishing was initially my favoured pastime, I began to coarse fish more regularly, focusing primarily on silver fish using the pole. I also joined Glamorgan Anglers where after some practice I began to fish in their matches as well as the Port Talbot docks winter league.
Fishing is something I have hugely enjoyed since a young age and from living in Wales, then West Yorkshire and now in the South West, an area that has many fishing venues to offer catching a fish is something that excites me more than ever!
This blog is a way of documenting my catches and experiences as well as trying to provide the reader with helpful, useful and interesting information on tried venues. I will also be writing about equipment and stockists, along with any events or topical fishing news both regionally and nationally.
If you have any questions, advice or require more information on anything written in this blog please feel free to contact me using the Contact Me form.
